On the 25th of August 2017, National Land Rights Forum Nepal submitted its suggestions on the Land use Bill to the Minister of Land Reform and Management Dr.Gopal Dahit on behalf of the entire organization. Similarly, it also submitted a Memorandum pertaining to the various contemporary issues of land rights. The end of the duration for Tenure Land Separation Application acceptance, delay in establishing Settlement Commission at the district level and other such issues were thoroughly discussed and included in the memorandum. In response to this, the minister of Land Reform and Management has announced that he will extend the Tenure Land Separation Application acceptance duration to some extent, Amend the Land related Act, formulate District Settlement Committee as soon as the Prime Minister returns from abroad and raise the issue of Land Related Act at the Council of Ministers.In the same way, a demand letter was submitted to Home Minister Janardhan Sharma on behalf of NLRF with demands such as resettling the people who are residing in high-risk areas for the permanent solution to the problems of flood-affected people.
